[1.5.1a] PRE-QUALIFICATION OF TENDERERS
The selection of a suitable contractor for a construction project is one of the most important decisions that Employer can make for the development of a project.
A pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) sets out a series of questions for potential tenderers to answer through the following criteria;
1. Business Registration
2. Relevant Projects Experience
3. Quality, Safety and Environment Management System
4. Finance
5. Resources
6. Legal Claims or Action

NOTE:
FINANCE __The successful of the project depend on the finance, so the main criteria is the financial capacity of the contractor because the project amount will not pay at once. In that situation the contractor must have the capable to do the project with his own money.

RESOURCES__ Some specific projects are not possible for every contractor; even though they have the financial capacity additionally they need the experience and company resources capacity. 

The experience tells about the previous projects similar to the project, for example the hospital project the contractor should have the experience of hospital project earlier. 

To company resources capacity it tells about the management capable of the organization because the large projects depend on the effective management, also the license from the accepted authority.
