During this stage, design drawings
and specifications should be developed in sufficient detail for tender
purposes.
The Quantity Surveyors shall
continuously monitor the costs, which is called Detail Cost Plan, as the
detailed design develops, and advise the Employer and Design Team on corrective
actions, if any, as soon as the estimated cost of any item exceeds the budget.
The Detailed Cost Plan shall be
basically a list of quantities, which is broken down based on the detail
drawings and specifications, priced at composite rate.
