The cost estimate prepared at the
Concept Design Stage is called a “Concept Cost Plan”.
During the Concept Design Stage,
preliminary design information such as site plans, floor plans, overall
building elevations/sections, area schedules, building services systems, 3-D
images of the project are usually provided.
The Concept Cost Plan is normally
structured in an elemental/sectional format which is primarily worked out on
the basis of $/m2 CFA, cost per functional unit ($/retail space, $/car parking
space, $/room space etc.)
