What is Quantity Surveying?

Quantity Surveying is concerned with controlling and managing the costs of construction projects. In Quantity Surveying and Construction, you could be involved with any stage of a project, from feasibility, design and construction, through to extension, refurbishment, maintenance and even demolition. Working in a quantity surveying role, you need to understand contracts, budgets, quantities and measurements. You are likely to be involved in a range of services, from cost consultancy to contract management.
